Publishing new polluting info for the Volkswagen Golf Estate R

The Volkswagen Golf Estate R 2.0 TSI 16v (310bhp) R 4WD Estate 5dr 1984cc Petrol DSG Automatic has new environmental information today. I have updated! Pay attention, you are too slow 🙂

Environmental Data

You need to insure the car fully comp, as normal with any new car. The car can be used for any purpose, or driven by anyone you choose. In effect, it is your own brand new car for the length of the hire period. You can even take it abroad. I tried to drive car to China once. That was damn big mistake. I suggest you do not use contract hire car for this.

If showroom-based car dealers fail to show fuel consumption labels on new cars on display, or to make available to potential buyers the results of the fuel consumption tests as listed in this booklet, it renders them liable on conviction to a fine of up to 5,000. This is why dealers miraculously acheive these “minimum standards” – under threat of a 5,000 fine!

Environmental Data

I have taken a typical model of this car from my website – the Volkswagen Golf Estate R Petrol DSG Automatic. For this car, the CO2 is now just 159g/km. Other trim levels might differ slightly.

Environmental Data

My Volkswagen Golf Estate R 2.0 TSI 16v (310bhp) R 4WD Estate 5dr 1984cc Petrol DSG Automatic gearbox is only £346.80 inc VAT per month with 3 months initial payment, followed by 35 payments on direct debit. Business customers, make sure you deduct the VAT, when making decisions. As I can’t tell what type of customer you are (business or private), I can’t display the price any other way but to show VAT seperately (sorry!).

VolkswagenThis price on my Volkswagen Golf Estate R includes full road tax for the length of the contract, on all of my cars and vans! Free delivery to your home or work and free collection from you at the end! £346.80 inc VAT per month is based on you driving 10,000 miles per annum, but higher mileages are usually available at a small extra cost. If you go over the allocated miles, you can pay a small excess mileage charge, usually between 3p and 15p per mile.

Remember I won the best non-franchise environmentalist 2008 in the Automotive Industry Awards. Don’t let these manufacturers fool you; LINGsCARS.com is the ONLY new car supplier to display and promote environmental info for ALL new cars, on the web! I have a Master’s Degree in Environmental Quality from Bournemouth Univeristy in 2000, plus a BSc in Applied Chemistry from Jinan University, Guanzhou in 1997.

Use higher gears, as soon as traffic conditions allow.

Read this, I have this comment up, displayed on LINGsCARS.com:

A very informative and well thought out site. Superb car offers at prices to beat. First class service all round. You can not find better. Excellent 5*****.

Dealers are also required to display a poster in paper or as an electronic display, in a prominent position, showing the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions for all new passenger car models displayed, or offered for sale through that particular showroom. In addition to the above, the directive also requires manufacturers to include fuel consumption and CO2 emissions data in all brochures and printed advertisements, provided that the literature relates to a specific model of car. These requirements were implemented into UK law by The Passenger Car (Fuel Consumption and CO2 emissions Information) Regulations 2001, which came into force on the 21st of November 2001.

Ling’s Nissan Qashqai environment info change

Green output is important to me, so I tell you the Nissan Qashqai 1.2 DIG-T 16v (115bhp) Tekna Glass Roof Pack Hatchback 5dr 1197cc Petrol Manual has changed, here are the new figures. I work hard to keep everything up to date.

Environment

These days, in UK identity theft is common (not problem in China; we all look same, heheh), money laundering is common, and so is fraud. To proctect themselves, and you, against these problems the finance companies like lots of ID. There are many protecting regulations. Photographic and signature proving (new driving licence or passport), and address proving (recent 90 day or less old utility bill showing your name and address). A company may want to submit a VAT return (proof of trading) or latest signed accounts, and anyone can supply a current bank statement (you can blot out the figures if you are sensitive).

Environmental Data

Carbon Dioxide is the most important of the greenhouse gases which are contributing to Climate Change. Unless action is taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, such as Carbon Dioxide, the whole pattern of the World’s weather could change, increasing the frequency and intensity of heatwaves, floods, droughts and storms.

Having got all the info for the Nissan Qashqai Petrol Manual, I can publish the new CO2 figure: 129g/km. This will change across the different models of this particular car, they are all a bit different.

My Nissan Qashqai 1.2 DIG-T 16v (115bhp) Tekna Glass Roof Pack Hatchback 5dr 1197cc Petrol Manual gearbox is only £243.72 inc VAT per month with 3 months initial payment, followed by 35 payments on direct debit. Business customers, make sure you deduct the VAT, when making decisions. Sir Nicholas Stern, Head of the Government Economics Service, produced the UK Government Environmental Report on the Economics of Climate Change. I was so pleased to win an Environmental Award in 2008, myself. I am determined that LINGsCARS.com will go further than anyone else in this industry to exceed the legal minimum information disclosure. It is probably the case that my customers have the smallest environmental footprints of any new car customers in the UK!

EU Directive 1999/94/EC requires new car fuel consumption and CO2 emissions data to be made freely available to consumers. Car dealers are required to have a label showing the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of each different model on display, either on or near the vehicle. Fuel consumption figures will be expressed both in litres per 100 kilometres (l/100 km) and in miles per gallon (mpg). The label will list the figures achieved in urban, extra-urban and combined conditions separately. From September of 2005, dealers had the option to produce a new “comparative” label. The new label shows the mandatory Fuel Consumption and CO2 figures mentioned previously, alongside information about the appropriate VED band for the vehicle. The new label is similar in design to the energy efficiency labels that appear on many ‘white goods’, such as fridge freezers

Volkswagen PassatEditor Note: Hey! Now Gary, I wonder why you find it surprising “for supplying me with a car without any pressure, hassle, or changes to anything you said”??? The motor industry is a disgrace, if this is really what customers tend to expect when acquiring a new car – ie; PRESSURE, HASSLE and CHANGES. It’s remarkable that I am consistently criticised by the motor industry for being an un-professional parasite (ie. unique and cheap), yet my customers love the service. Thank you for such a clear recommendation, Gary! – Ling

Making the Audi A5 Sportback greener

Everyone moans that things go up and up and up. Well, the CO2 on the Audi A5 Sportback 2.0 TFSI 16v (190bhp) Sport Hatchback 5dr 1984cc Petrol Manual has just come down! What a result! This post is to let you know.

At the end of the contract, the car is collected from you and you have no further obligations. You do not buy the car, nor do you have a “balloon” payment. Simply give it back! Of course, the car should be fair and reasonable condition commensurate with its age and mileage. If it’s not, you’ll be charged for any damage. But to me that’s common sense.

Mercedes-Benz told me “Mercedes-Benz dealerships have a limited amount of space available in which to advertise. However, all of the dealership’s websites do include a link to the main site Mercedes-Benz.com where anyone in the world with an interest in obtaining specific environmental information about any Mercedes-Benz vehicle can easily find it. Environmental information is also available in brochures that can be obtained at any dealership.” Well, perhaps Head Office at Mercedes-Benz restricts the amount of web space available to each dealer? It’s amazing that they use “space” as an argument for not displaying this info online on each dealer’s site. Web-space is virtually unlimited! A customer should not need to go to World Headquaters to find it (and even then it is not comparative)!

Having got all the info for the Audi A5 Sportback Petrol Manual, I can publish the new CO2 figure: 131g/km. This will change across the different models of this particular car, they are all a bit different.

Because of the need to maintain strict comparability of results achieved by the standard tests they cannot be fully representative of real life driving conditions. Firstly, it is obviously not practicable to test each individual new car; thus only one production car is tested as being representative of the model and may therefore produce a better or worse result than another similar vehicle. Secondly, there are infinite variations in driving styles and in road, car and weather conditions, all of which can have a bearing on the results achieved. For these reasons the fuel consumption achieved on the road will not necessarily be the same as the official test results.

Pollution levels on the Mini Hatch have changed

Great cars like the Mini Hatch 2.0 i 16v (189bhp) Cooper S (Chili Pack) Hatchback 5dr 1998cc Petrol Manual jump out to me when I am checking environment data. This one has changed, so I type it here. I get a lot of these changes.

Most extras fitted onto cars don’t seem to make difference to the resale price in 2-3 years. Metallic paint, leather and aircon actually do, but let’s face it most cars I sell come with aircon and met paint, anyway. So, if you ask for quote to include extras, you can bet life that it will mean you pay the whole cost of the extra thing, divided by the number of rentals.

Failure to show fuel consumption labels on new cars on display, or to make available to potential buyers the results of the fuel consumption tests as listed in this booklet, render dealers liable on conviction to a fine of up to 5,000. The same penalty exists for anyone who does not include all the appropriate test results in promotional literature. Trading Standards enforce point of sale information and should be contacted if you have concerns in this area. The Vehicle Certification Agency enforce the provision of information in advertising and promotional literature.
