Petrol consumption and my Honda Jazz

My system has alerted me that the Honda Jazz 1.3 i-VTEC S 16v (102bhp) Hatchback 5dr 1318cc Petrol Manual (6 Speed) Petrol Manual has changed today so I update my website and post here for the benefit of customers. No one else bothers with this stuff. I treat you like adult, not idiot.

At the end of the contract, the car is collected from you and you have no further obligations. You do not buy the car, nor do you have a “balloon” payment. Simply give it back! Of course, the car should be fair and reasonable condition commensurate with its age and mileage. If it’s not, you’ll be charged for any damage. But to me that’s common sense.

Environment

The VCA (the VCA is the Government designated UK approval authority) wrote to me, saying “I can appreciate the efforts you are making to improve environmental awareness amongst your customers and I’m sure that your approach will be of help to them when deciding on a new car. At this time there is no legal requirement for dealers to display this information on their websites.” Why not? I think there should be! The VCA continued, “Your comments and in depth suggestions on how we might improve the output of the data will be considered alongside any other proposals for change.”

For this brand new Honda Jazz Petrol Manual, the latest CO2 figure is just 116g/km. When I chose this trim, it was because I have a few of these available. Different trims will have different CO2.

Environmental Data

My Honda Jazz 1.3 i-VTEC S 16v (102bhp) Hatchback 5dr 1318cc Petrol Manual (6 Speed) Petrol Manual gearbox is only £155.99 inc VAT per month with 6 months initial payment, followed by 35 payments on direct debit. Business customers, make sure you deduct the VAT, when making decisions. As I can’t tell what type of customer you are (business or private), I can’t display the price any other way but to show VAT seperately (sorry!).

HondaThis price on my Honda Jazz includes full road tax for the length of the contract, on all of my cars and vans! Free delivery to your home or work and free collection from you at the end! £155.99 inc VAT per month is based on you driving 10,000 miles per annum, but higher mileages are usually available at a small extra cost. If you go over the allocated miles, you can pay a small excess mileage charge, usually between 3p and 15p per mile.

Winning the environmental award (2008 Best Environmentalist in the car industry) was very pleasing for me as it meant I was being recognised for my hard work. I’m the the ONLY new car supplier to display and promote environmental info for ALL new cars, on the web! Please note I have pioneered availability of environmental information on the internet. Using the internet to research and buy new cars is the most environmentally friendly method, by miles.

Do not compromise safety but be aware that the use of onboard electrical devices increases fuel consumption.

The external noise emitted by passenger cars has been controlled since 1929 when the Motor Cars (Excessive Noise) regulations were introduced. New cars are now required to meet Europe-wide noise limits. These have been progressively reduced from 82 decibels (dB(A)) in 1978 to the current limit of 74 dB(A) established in 1996. This means it would take 7 new vehicles to make the same amount of noise as a vehicle that just meets the pre-1978 limits.

I am amazed the Post Office needs to be privatised, the amount that my customers spend sending me letters about their new cars. Here, Stewart Collinson explains how they are getting on with their Honda Civic

Stewart says…
CarThank you for supplying my new Honda Civic, it looks and drives just as it should! What an experience, you’re a wild one, still it’s a good way to lease and would be boring if we were all business-like and “stiff” all the time! Delivery was excellent.

Different NOx levels on the Mercedes X Class Double Cab Pick-up

The Mercedes X Class Double Cab Pick-up 2.3 250d 4Matic 16v (190bhp) Progressive Double Cab 4WD Pickup 2298cc Diesel Automatic has new environmental information today. I have updated! Pay attention, you are too slow 🙂

And if you are thinking that all the fuss at the moment should be about air travel, not cars, Michael O’Leary (of Ryanair) will put you right. He said “Aviation accounts for a ‘Mickey Mouse’ 3% of carbon emissions across the EU, compared with nearly 25% from road transport” He also said “I dont believe in trotting out all that PC claptrap just not to upset a couple of fu*king environmental lunatics. They are just loons” – which makes sense to me, as I have a problem with this statement from Christopher Macgowan, the head of the SMMT; “The motor industry is committed to helping tackle climate change”. Frankly, I don’t think many retailers and dealers are.

Working it out from the tables, the CO2 is just 150g/km for the Mercedes X Class Double Cab Pick-up Diesel Automatic. There are a few cars in this range, so different specs will give slightly different CO2 values.

My Mercedes X Class Double Cab Pick-up 2.3 250d 4Matic 16v (190bhp) Progressive Double Cab 4WD Pickup 2298cc Diesel Automatic gearbox is only £350.57 inc VAT per month with 6 months initial payment, followed by 35 payments on direct debit. Failure to show fuel consumption labels on new cars on display, or to make available to potential buyers the results of the fuel consumption tests as listed in this booklet, render dealers liable on conviction to a fine of up to 5,000. The same penalty exists for anyone who does not include all the appropriate test results in promotional literature. Trading Standards enforce point of sale information and should be contacted if you have concerns in this area. The Vehicle Certification Agency enforce the provision of information in advertising and promotional literature.

Biofuels also offer a way to reduce vehicles’ impacts on climate change. The fuels are not entirely CO2 neutral because of the energy used to grow and process crops, but they can offer substantial CO2 savings over fossil petrol and diesel. Today most biofuels are sold in a blends of up to 5% with fossil petrol and diesel . These are suitable for use in all vehicles. Fuel standards may be extended in the future to allow more than 5% if it is concluded that this is compatible with existing vehicles. Some manufacturers offer ‘flexi-fuel’ vehicles that can run on bioethanol blends up to E85 – a blend of 85% bioethanol and 15% petrol, as well as fossil petrol.

Possible enviro banding change on the Mercedes C Class Coupe

I am the fastest car supplier in the UK to update the Mercedes C Class Coupe 1.5 C200 AMG Line 16v (198bhp) (4 seats) Coupe 2dr 1497cc Petrol 9G-Tronic (9 Speed) Petrol Automatic information. No one in the industry can believe how fast I am.

Personal Contract Hire is exactly the same as contract hire for businesses. This is the beauty of getting a car like this, as you benefit from FLEET BONUSES! However, VAT makes a difference. Businesses get the rentals shown ex-VAT (they can often reclaim half of it), whereas private purchasers have it included in the rentals.

If showroom-based car dealers fail to show fuel consumption labels on new cars on display, or to make available to potential buyers the results of the fuel consumption tests as listed in this booklet, it renders them liable on conviction to a fine of up to 5,000. This is why dealers miraculously acheive these “minimum standards” – under threat of a 5,000 fine!

Having got all the info for the Mercedes C Class Coupe Petrol Automatic, I can publish the new CO2 figure: 140g/km. This will change across the different models of this particular car, they are all a bit different.

Harmful emissions on the Renault Captur

Looking at my records, the Renault Captur 0.9 TCE Iconic 12v (90bhp) Hatchback 5dr 898cc Petrol Manual (5 Speed) Petrol Manual has changed today, so I have updated the environmental information on my website. You have to laugh that I can beat Renault to this update!

This is very difficult for some people to control because of the damn human nature. But try to look at your car as a simple consumer goods, like a fridge or microwave. Who would get excited by a microwave…? Because these cars are so very, very cheap, often dealer makes just a tiny profit. Almost like handling fee. Me too. I work on numbers of cars, like airline ticket consolidators sell tickets.

The comparative or “fridge” label, is compulsory in car showrooms – except you’ve got to DRIVE there to see it! I won an industry award for displaying it electronically for all website visitors. I am the proud winner of the 2008 Best Environmentalist 2008 Automotive Management Award. Like me, Michael O’Leary, CEO of Ryanair talks straight about cars versus planes. “The usual horseshit”, he says. One day, every car will be as Green as my Jolly Green Nuclear Missile Truck “Calm down dear!” – it’s only done 1,000 miles since 1970.

Use air-conditioning sparingly – running air-conditioning continuously will increase fuel consumption significantly.

Because of the need to maintain strict comparability of results achieved by the standard tests they cannot be fully representative of real life driving conditions. Firstly, it is obviously not practicable to test each individual new car; thus only one production car is tested as being representative of the model and may therefore produce a better or worse result than another similar vehicle. Secondly, there are infinite variations in driving styles and in road, car and weather conditions, all of which can have a bearing on the results achieved. For these reasons the fuel consumption achieved on the road will not necessarily be the same as the official test results.
