On May 18th 2007, Automotive Management (the trade newspaper of the motor industry) said: "She's been called a parasite, a deranged internet freak and a blatant publicist, but she's also the north-east woman entrepreneur of 2006. And one look at her accounts reveals that Ling Valentine is enjoying levels of profit that no dealer can match. Pre-tax profits hit £71,000 last year (2006) on a turnover of £125,000 - a 56.8% return on sales in an industry that averages 0.7%. In fact, her profit performance is equivalent to a £10m turnover dealership. Valentine's advantage is not having to endure the huge overheads of a dealership."

In January 2006, FLEET NEWS, the car fleet operator's trade newspaper said; "(Ling is...) contract hire's Ryanair".

LING v UK DEALERS
Compare me with WHOLE UK manufacturer sales...

There is only one Ling... ME!
Manufacturers have 100's of people working for them. Plus their dealers, that another few 1000. Versus me, just 1 Chinese female human. Just check out the figures below, then asking yourself "who you rather get new car from?"
Rent from me, I SAVE you cash! - Ling

Maths: Ling's total August 2005 sales compared to manufacturers' total sales in August 2005. Not difficult, eh?
Manufacturers' sales source = SMMT figures August 2005

ALFA ROMEO
I sold 43% as many new cars as the whole of Alfa Romeo dealer network did in August 2005. Alfa slowly dying. Shame. Soon I will overtake rusty Italians.

ASTON MARTIN
I sold only 29 less new cars than the whole of UK Aston dealer network in August 2005. Aston sales growing. James Bond helping, I guess.

BENTLEY
I sold only 5 new cars less than the whole of UK Bentley dealer network in August 2005. Maybe they should give me contract-hire terms?

CHRYSLER
I sold 27% as many new cars as the whole of UK Chrysler dealer network did in August 2005. This amazing, compare my budget to theirs! Only 1 of me.

DAIHATSU
I sold just under HALF as many new cars as whole of UK Daihatsu dealer network in August 2005. Daihatsus pretty poor Japanese cars (or Korean???).

ISUZU
I sold 2500% (!) more new cars than the whole of UK Isuzu dealer network in August 2005. They sold 3! Isuzu dead.

JAGUAR
I sold 14% as many new cars as the whole of UK Jaguar dealer network did in August 2005. This amazing! Jaguar have many dealers and mega-budget! I am me. (Subsequent update Dec 2005. Ford have to make massive preference share issue to finance big subsidy for Jaguar to avoid death. Big cat is a bit mangy, eh?)

JEEP
I sold only 41 less new cars than the whole of UK Jeep dealer network in August 2005. Americans have good exchange rate, too! Fantastic result (for me).

LEXUS
Amazingly, I sold 44% as many new cars than the whole of UK Lexus dealer network in August 2005. I enjoy to rub Japanese noses in ground.

LOTUS
I sold TWICE as many new cars than the whole of UK Lotus dealer network in August 2005. Wow! Poor Mr Colin Chapman.

PERODUA
I sold 142% more new cars than the whole of Perodua UK dealer network in August 2005. Actually their result should embarass some others like Alfa & Chrysler.

PORSCHE
I sold 32% as many new cars than the whole of UK Porsche dealer network in August 2005. My profits much lower per car though, hehe.

PROTON
I sold 1.4 times as many new cars than the whole of UK Proton dealer network in August 2005. Malaysians hopeless. Cars poor. How long will dictatorship of Malaysia with dodgy human rights subsidise losses?

SSANGYONG
I sold TWICE as many new cars than the whole of UK Ssangyong dealer network in August 2005. Who are they? North Korean??? ...North Koreans mental

TATA
I sold 3 and a half times as many new cars than the whole of UK Tata dealer network in August 2005. Someone should take these Indians away (Indian take-away, geddit?), hehe.

VOLVO
Finally, I sold 12% as many new cars as the whole of UK Volvo dealer network in August 2005. Volvo should beat me by more than this!

Of course, I cannot scratch sales figures of Ford, BMW, Toyota... yet! One day...(hehe!)

Thanks again so much for your support, glad you like cars and prices! Thanks for supporting me, I fight alone against stupid dealers and big idiot companies (Mazda UK Managing Director who tries to kill my sales, you know who you are!)
