Or are "personalised" reg plates a bit rubbish?
Note: I hate stupid mis-spelled number plates. But this one is fine, would suit many people.

This is one British strangeness that I can't understand. Why on earth do people want their name mis-spelled on their car reg? Would they ever consider doing this on their house door?
And not just mis-spelled, but spelled with numbers! Even though I am a bloody Chinese and I have not perfect english, if someone sent me a proposal form with their name Smith spelt as S1-MTH, I would honestly throw it in bin.
So why do British like mis-spelled name on car? Nobody can ever answer this. In China, no one wants name on car. They are confident to remember own name without a mis-spelling on car. I don't see this happen anywhere else but USA and UK. Very strange.

Why not simply make up another registration plate with real name on, and stick to car under real reg plate, if you so want your name on car? At least then your name will be spelled right. If I know that a 3 is not an E, and a 1 is not an I, then everyone must know. But if you argue that a 3 looks like an E, then I say you stupid. It is totally different. It looks like a 3 to me.
Even four year old British childern know this. Why adults suddenly become stupid?
Are people serious when they say this stupid stuff???

With sharp knife you can re-arrange name badge like this;
PUNTO = TON-UP (Punto will only do 100mph)
ASTRA = RASTA (for West Indian brothers - not bad!)
ESCORT = SCROTE (for stupid people think they should do this - even better!)
Under the stupid spelling rules that people who do this apply (E look like 3), then surely every time they see a Ford Focus they think "Oh! It says "FOC US", sounds like "Fuck us"! How rude! Let's beat up driver!".
It must drive them crazy because Focus was best-selling UK car. Stupid people must think so many offensive drivers on road saying "Foc Us".
If you want a set of extra number plates (normal shape only, maybe for caravan or trailer)...
I will make these and supply free. Please ask.
It is very difficult to buy extra plates these days if you are not registered keeper, as you have to show docs when buying them. However, if you are customer, I can supply extra plates at any time for you.
Anyway, my rant nearly over, I just please ask customer to put brain into a gear before asking about "private" reg plate. I mean you only rent this car, and writing your name in back window in tippex is much cheaper option. You can spell it right, too.
