New VCA data on the Citroen Xsara Picasso

Look, another CO2 change! The Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.6 i (110bhp) Desire MPV 5dr 1587cc Petrol Manual has moved slightly in the environment tales again. I post the new info, and publish on my website.

You need to insure the car fully comp, as normal with any new car. The car can be used for any purpose, or driven by anyone you choose. Note that this statement is slightly misleading as Renault UK directly owns many of its larger dealerships, and in my extensive research no Renault dealer uses this information online. They could, if they wanted to. Their statement doesn’t seem to me to be very pro-active.

Dealers are also required to display a poster � in paper or as an electronic display, in a prominent position, showing the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions for all new passenger car models displayed, or offered for sale through that particular showroom. In addition to the above, the directive also requires manufacturers to include fuel consumption and CO2 emissions data in all brochures and printed advertisements, provided that the literature relates to a specific model of car. These requirements were implemented into UK law by The Passenger Car (Fuel Consumption and CO2 emissions Information) Regulations 2001, which came into force on the 21st of November 2001.

I have taken a typical model of this car from my website – the Citroen Xsara Picasso Petrol Manual. For this car, the CO2 is now just 172g/km. Other trim levels might differ slightly. The combined cycle economy for this Citroen Xsara Picasso is now 38.70mpg, the noise level is 72dB(A) (decibels), the level of nitrogen oxides is 0.016g/km (oxides of Nitrogen react in the atmosphere to form Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) which can have adverse effects on health, particularly among people with respiratory illness). Hydrocarbons, contribute to ground level Ozone formation leading to risk of damage to the human respiratory system. The HC level for the Citroen Xsara Picasso is 0.046g/km.

The Citroen Xsara Picasso falls into the E band overall.

My Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.6 i (110bhp) Desire MPV 5dr 1587cc Petrol Manual gearbox is only £223.10 inc VAT per month with 3 months initial payment, followed by 35 payments on direct debit. Business customers, make sure you deduct the VAT, when making decisions. As I can’t tell what type of customer you are (business or private), I can’t display the price any other way but to show VAT seperately (sorry!).
