The Economist has a Big Mac index to measure the cost of living around the World. I have stolen it.

Big Mac Index from Ling at LINGsCARS for Car Leasing and Contract Hire comparison Now, I help my customers find car leasing and contract hire deals for the cheapest cost on new cars, by displaying a Big Mac index. This shows how many Big Macs you could buy per day for the same price as renting a brand new car over 2 or 3 years. LINGsCARS is the UK’s favourite car leasing site and has over 500 new car lease deals on display – the cheapest in the UK.

The Big Mac calculation doesn’t even include fries! You have to pay extra for fries… which is a hell of a price to pay, as my cars come with free road tax, free delivery (try getting McDonalds to deliver) and NO saturated fat! My new cars are equivalent to a VERY, VERY, VERY Happy Meal!

For instance, a brand new Ford Kuga 4×4 is available for a customer to run for 3 years, for the same price as just 3.8 Big Macs a day. You can’t even feed a family of 4, yet 5 people can jump in this new Ford Kuga and go for a ride to the seaside. How cheap is that? Is renting this Ford Kuga worth more than a piggy gut full of McDonalds per day? I think so!

No one else in the UK motor industry gives you such a fun and real-life way of measuring the true cost of running a new car. Now… did you want fries with that?
