The Chevrolet Captiva is a Green car yet?

Look, another CO2 change! The Chevrolet Captiva 2.0 CDTi (148bhp) LT (MY08) 4WD Station Wagon (5-seat) 5dr 1991cc Diesel Automatic has moved slightly in the environment tales again. I post the new info, and publish on my website.
You need to insure the car fully comp, as normal with any new car. The car can be used for any purpose, or driven by anyone you choose. In effect, it is your own brand new car for the length of the hire period. You can even take it abroad. I tried to drive car to China once. That was damn big mistake. I suggest you do not use contract hire car for this.
Compared to improvements in the emissions of toxic pollutants, there has been less progress on reducing CO2 from cars. For a given type of fuel the CO2 emissions of a car are directly proportional to the quantity of fuel consumed. Until recently the average fuel consumption of new cars was unchanged relative to that in the mid 1980’s. This was because while engines have become more efficient over this period, average vehicle mass has increased due to additional features to meet crash safety requirements and the widespread addition of features such as power assisted steering and air conditioning. However, there are signs that in the last few years average fuel consumption has begun to drop in response to voluntary agreements by vehicle manufacturers to reduce CO2 emissions.
The other pollutants from petrol, diesel and alternative fuel engines are mainly Carbon Monoxide, Oxides of Nitrogen, un-burnt Hydrocarbons and fine particles. The first three are gases and are invisible. Fine particles are usually invisible although in certain operating conditions diesels will produce visible particles, appearing as smoke. Petrol engines will also produce visible particles if they are burning engine oil or running rich, for example, following a cold start. Unlike CO2, emissions of these pollutants are not directly linked to fuel consumption. Pollutant levels are more dependant on vehicle technology and the state of maintenance of the vehicle.
Having got all the info for the Chevrolet Captiva Diesel Automatic, I can publish the new CO2 figure: 197g/km. This will change across the different models of this particular car, they are all a bit different. Click on the “fridge label” to get a enviroment label to print for this car. The combined cycle economy for this Chevrolet Captiva is now 37.10mpg, the noise level is 74dB(A) (decibels), the level of nitrogen oxides is 0.25g/km (oxides of Nitrogen react in the atmosphere to form Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) which can have adverse effects on health, particularly among people with respiratory illness).
The Chevrolet Captiva falls into the
F band overall.
My Chevrolet Captiva 2.0 CDTi (148bhp) LT (MY08) 4WD Station Wagon (5-seat) 5dr 1991cc Diesel with Automatic gearbox is only £219.99+VAT per month with 3 months initial payment, followed by 23 payments on direct debit. Private customers, make sure you add in the VAT, when making decisions. As I can’t tell what type of customer you are (business or private), I can’t display the price any other way but to show VAT seperately (sorry!).
This price on my Chevrolet Captiva includes full road tax for the length of the contract, on all of my cars and vans! Free delivery to your home or work and free collection from you at the end! £219.99+VAT per month is based on you driving 10,000 miles per annum, but higher mileages are usually available at a small extra cost. If you go over the allocated miles, you can pay a small excess mileage charge, usually between 3p and 15p per mile.
One of my best awards was the 2008 best non-franchise environmentalist, awarded by Automotive Management. The web is fickle, I have noticed LINGsCARS is the ONLY new car supplier to display and promote environmental info for ALL new cars, on the web! My website won "BEST non-franchised WEBSITE 2007" in the Automotive Management Awards.
Here’s a patronising tip from the government: “
Check your fuel consumption – it will help you get the most from the car, changes in overall fuel consumption may indicate a fault.”
My website comment page is overflowing. This is one of my favourites. “My friend has referred me to your site. Now I was expecting the usual car site with pages of boring cars available to rent. Well, you’re different.
