Petrol consumption and my Audi A6 Saloon

All the people with orders in my system for the Audi A6 Saloon 2.0 TDi (140bhp) Limited Edition (Nav, leather, 18") Saloon 4dr 1968cc Diesel Automatic will be quite pleased by this news. I am making a change, because the environment stuff seems to have moved slightly.
You run this new car for 12, 18, 24 or 36 months depending on the term, and run it within an agreed mileage limit (usually 10,000, 15,000 or 20,000 miles per year, but different mileages are possible). If you exceed the mileage limit, you pay for extra miles at (typically) 4p – 10p per extra mile. This is known as the excess mileage rate.
Compared to improvements in the emissions of toxic pollutants, there has been less progress on reducing CO2 from cars. For a given type of fuel the CO2 emissions of a car are directly proportional to the quantity of fuel consumed. Until recently the average fuel consumption of new cars was unchanged relative to that in the mid 1980’s. This was because while engines have become more efficient over this period, average vehicle mass has increased due to additional features to meet crash safety requirements and the widespread addition of features such as power assisted steering and air conditioning. However, there are signs that in the last few years average fuel consumption has begun to drop in response to voluntary agreements by vehicle manufacturers to reduce CO2 emissions.
In 1993 exhaust emission limits, (generally referred to as the Euro 1 standards) were introduced for new cars which resulted in the adoption of advanced emission control techniques, e.g. catalysts. More stringent emission limits came into effect in 1997 (Euro 2) and 2001 (Euro 3) and 1st January 2005 (Euro 4). Euro 4 came fully into force on 1st January 2007 and now covers most new cars on sale.
For this brand new Audi A6 Saloon Diesel Automatic, the latest CO2 figure is just 159g/km. When I chose this trim, it was because I have a few of these available. Different trims will have different CO2. Click on the “fridge label” to get a enviroment label to print for this car. The combined cycle economy for this Audi A6 Saloon is now 46.30mpg, the noise level is 72dB(A) (decibels), the level of nitrogen oxides is 0.23g/km (oxides of Nitrogen react in the atmosphere to form Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) which can have adverse effects on health, particularly among people with respiratory illness).
The Audi A6 Saloon falls into the
D band overall.

Here’s a patronising tip from the government: “
Use higher gears, as soon as traffic conditions allow.”
Website comments come in all the time – I have got one that says… “Your site made me laugh more than many of the other sites with mad chinese girls running car leasing companies. Am on a long march to replace my Lexus so this is serious.
